Too many games!

I know this'll sound absolutely stupid, but there are just too many great games arriving on PS3 at the moment! I simply can't keep up. After the supreme Wipeout HD arrived in September, I knew there were still excellent games due for release later in the year, but the shear number of excellent releases is staggering! For those interested in some excellent scares, there's Dead Space, while RPG fans can knock themselves out with Fallout 3, Valkyria Chronicles or, from the Playstation Store, Puzzle Quest. First Person Shooter fans don't have to look far either, with releases of Resistance 2, Bioshock and Far Cry 2. Adventure and platforming fans should be very satisfied with Prince of Persia and, of course, LittleBigPlanet.

Prince of Persia

It's stunning that there are so many excellent games available all at once, and the set above doesn't even include the ones I've not had time to look at, including Mirror's Edge, Tomb Raider Underworld and Call of Duty 5. There really is a huge amount to play with, and the credit crunch is, strangely, helping a bit here. If the credit crunch is causing you financial stress and difficulty, then this is obviously a bad thing and I wish you all the best through this tricky time. The positive side effect though, is that game prices are swiftly dropping (often within weeks of the game's release). As Christmas 2008 approaches, game prices have dropped remarkably, with games such as Bioshock, Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, Mirror's Edge and even Prince of Persia (released only a few weeks ago) to just £17.99.

These remarkable games are worth the full £39.99 you'd normally find them for online, but with Play and Amazon battling to retain sales, there are some real bargains to be found. The only downside there is that it makes you realize just how much we're getting ripped off the rest of the time! So much for that silver lining, but still, it's like petrol: the price has recently dropped to a price that is still ridiculous and astonomical, but we're all deliriously happy about it, simply because it's so much better than it was.

I'm sorry, I know that was important, but you performed Gilbert and Sullivan?

I am the very model of a scientist salarian - I've studied species Turian, Asari and Batarian - I'm quite good at genetics as a subset of biology - because I am an expert which I know is a tautology! My xenoscience studies range from urban to agrarian - I am the very model of a scientist salarian!
